THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Great movie :) Loved some of the action. The animation felt a little different but it was intense. Major sure kicked some booty. Movie was about 58 minutes in total but glad it's out now. Can't wait for second movie later this year but damn, that was intense. OP song was also soft but had a lighthearted rhythm to it. Major sure can kick some ass with those kicks of hers. There's some fanservice (more than I had thought) but this was a great movie. She's back:

THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This movie focuses mainly on Motoko's subconscious needs of feeling human by pursuing romantic relationships. I found it a tad bit more boring than the previous movies maybe due to the lack of action. Akira though was quite the peculiar character that I wanted to be more fleshed out. Though it would have been hard to do for such a support character in an hour long movie. Also, the animation quality was really bad, fluctuating from okay to horrible frequently.

Then, a military member implicated in arms-dealing bribes is gunned down. During the investigation, Public Security Section's Daisuke Aramaki encounters Motoko Kusanagi, the cyborg, wizard-level hacker assigned to the military's 501st Secret Unit. Batou, a man with the "eye that does not sleep," suspects that Kusanagi is the one behind the bombing. The Niihama Prefectural Police detective Togusa is pursuing his own dual cases of the shooting death and a prostitute's murder.
